Curriculum Corner: 'The Art of Playing in the Woods'
Almost all the lessons I plan are the same things I would teach at public school, just with fewer standardized tests. We work hard on projects. And then, sometimes we just play in the woods, and we learn so many things I could never have planned.
Floyd Tourism launches month-long 'Shop Local' campaign
To celebrate the launch, the Tourism Office will host a welcome booth at the Shop Small Artisan Market from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Nov. 29, on Jacksonville Circle, which is located between the Floyd County Courthouse and the new Floyd County Government Building.
