Building Excellence Awards presented to Omnibuild, Habitat for Humanity
Award winners for 2026 include Omnibuild General Contractors and Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley.
At the New River Valley Home Builders Association's (NRVHBA) annual gala on Saturday, March 7, officials presented Excellence in Building Awards featuring the most robust categories and nominees to date.
The 2026 Excellence in Building Award winners are:
- Community Impact Award – Cassidy Jones, Slate Creek Builders
- NRVHBA Service Award – Gretchen Merix, Westwood
- Young Professional of the Year – Ian Friend, SAS Builders
- New Member of the Year – All American Hauling
- Associate Member of the Year – Spectrum Paint
- Builder of the Year – Habitat for Humanity of the New River Valley
- Best New Spec Home – Jones Real Estate
- Best Creative Home Feature – Progress Street Builders
- Best Bath Over $50k – Wizards with Sticks Construction
- Best Bath Under $50k – White Builders Inc.
- Best Kitchen Over $100k – Slate Creek Builders
- Best Kitchen Under $100k – White Builders Inc.
- Best Outdoor Living – Blue Ridge Design Build
- Best Curb Appeal – Progress Street Builders
- Best Remodeled Home – Ewing Construction and Cabinetry
- Best New Custom Home – Omnibuild General Contractors
