Local business owner accused of selling drugs at FloydFest faces legal action
Caleb Ryan Storm Dickman has not been charged with a crime and had not filed a response to the allegations in court as of the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 5.
Undercover drug agents allegedly bought psychedelic mushrooms from a vendor at last month’s FloydFest music festival, according to court papers that state the vendor is facing legal action.
Caleb Ryan Storm Dickman, the proprietor of Liquid Fire Glass, a glass blowing shop in Floyd, was among the vendors selling goods to festival patrons during the five-day gathering in Check, according to a sworn filing by J. Bohnke, a narcotics investigator with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
Bohnke wrote that Dickman, 44, “was distributing psychedelic mushrooms from within their business front” at the festival. Allegedly, plain clothes police made three purchases before confronting Dickman, who had “over 200 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and other schedule I and II narcotics” in their possession, the filing said.

In the wake of the discovery, authorities searched the business and seized a bank account belonging to Dickman and his shop on the belief that the account contained drug revenue. They plan to ask a judge to order the funds forfeited to the state.
A hearing is scheduled for Sept. 1.
Dickman has not been charged and had not filed a response to the seizure action and related allegations in court as of the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 5. He did not respond to three voicemail messages left on the business phone Tuesday and Wednesday.
On behalf of FloydFest, Sam Calhoun of Across the Way Productions said the event has a “stated, strict, zero-tolerance drug policy, and the safety of our patrons, artists, staff, volunteers, and community remains our highest priority.” He continued, “we work closely with our security teams and law enforcement partners to uphold the safe, family-friendly environment that has long defined FloydFest, and if isolated incidents do occur, they are addressed promptly with that shared commitment."
