Floyd County honors its veterans with annual parade
Alongside veterans, the procession included Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, The Floyd County High School Marching Band, motorcycles, vintage automobiles, motorcycles, and fire trucks and tractors, some pulling decorated trailers full of passengers.

The CFNRV’s scholarship application is open until Jan. 23, 2026, and Floyd Chamber applications are open until April 1, 2026.
Ed and Ethel's Fine Jewelry opens on Main Street
The Brinsons chose the name Ed and Ethel’s, Brooke said, because they “really wanted the business to be the way that (Ed and Ethel) lived and to treat people that way.” They were her “grandparents that didn’t have to be” after they retired in Floyd from the coast.
Pets of the Week
