We donned wetsuits the next chilly morning and walked to the boat that would take us to snorkel with the manatees. The ground was cold on our bare feet but once in the water, the wetsuits did their magic and with snorkels and masks, we swam with many, many manatees.

When you drive past our campus and hear the sounds of laughter echoing from the recess field or catch glimpses of students racing through the woods, know that what you're witnessing is a carefully designed curriculum in action.

Shadow is a six-year-old spayed female, up-to-date on vaccines, and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV. She is feeling very scared with all the recent changes and just wants to hide.

FACT: I was something of a class hero there for a while, and my friends would queue up after class to see what I had etched out whilst we were clumsily reciting Chaucer in middle English with ah-wah thick Alabama accents.
