The Nov. 7 game was also Senior Night. Before the game, seniors in football, cheerleading, cross country, and golf were recognized. After their halftime performance, the seniors who participate in the band were recognized as well.

The atmosphere of the game was intense. The Buffaloes were determined to bring in a win for the end of the regular season. The Buffaloes initially had the momentum with senior quarterback Sam Phillips scoring a touchdown within the first few minutes of the game. The point after, however, was blocked by the Highlanders. This opened a window for the Highlanders and soon after, they scored a touchdown and extra point to put them in the lead 7-6.
