Floyd County crash claims the life of Roanoke man

A Roanoke motorcyclist died in a crash including two other vehicles in Floyd County on Sunday.

Kenneth Martin Wingfield, 69, was driving a Harley Davidson north when he crossed the center line and side-swiped a southbound Chevrolet Cruze, according to Virginia State Police. Wingfield then hit a Range Rover head-on.

VSP said the crash occurred at about 10 a.m. on June 21 on U.S. 221 (Floyd Highway), just south of King Store Road. Windfield was wearing a helmet, and he died at the scene.
