Floyd Tourism issued a release on Nov. 19 to announce Floyd’s win.

“Floyd is honored to be recognized by Blue Ridge Outdoors Magazine and by the thousands of readers who voted Floyd as the Top Tiny Adventure Town. Whether you’re cycling along the Blue Ridge Parkway, zip-lining through the treetops, playing a round of disc golf, or hiking to the top of Buffalo Mountain, every adventure here offers an experience to remember,” tourism officials said.

The designation reflects Floyd’s growing appeal for travelers seeking outdoor experiences with small-town charm. Visitors and locals alike enjoy abundant recreation opportunities throughout the county, including trails, overlooks along the Blue Ridge Parkway, the longest zipline in Virginia, curated routes for road cyclists and motorcyclists, campgrounds, and disc golf courses.
