“Home for the Holidays” brings classical favorites to town this Sunday
There will be a special ending with a singalong of holiday favorites and audience participation. A reception will follow to meet and talk with Maestro Wiley and Trombetta.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year and “Home for the Holidays” is a festive event for the holiday season. Maestro David Stewart Wiley and acclaimed soprano Adelaide Trombetta will present an uplifting program of great classics including music by Handel, Bach, Barber, Chopin, and more.
Floyd County is familiar with Maestro Wiley as Music Director and Conductor of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and the Orchestra Long Island, conducting some of the best known symphonies in the country and the world during his career.
You may not know Maestro Wiley is a virtuoso concert pianist and, according to Trombetta, “combines technique, artistic sensibility, and genuine love of music and people to bring out the best in all who have the privilege to collaborate with him.”
Trombetta made her debut on the Metropolitan Opera stage and rapidly gained the reputation as a world-class musician. She is a regularly featured and sought after soloist with numerous symphony orchestras and in 2018 made her Carnegie Hall debut.
