Kids and 'kids at heart' invited to interactive show

The June Bug Center in Floyd cordially invites community members of all ages to participate in "Princess Peigh's Sword Fighting Tea Party" this weekend.
An interactive family style show, the play follows a spunky princess and her stoic best friend as they travel the world sharing the customs and traditions of their whimsical kingdom through comedy, interactive magic, storytelling, and audience participation. Along the way, boys, girls, and their guardians are encouraged to embrace kindness, acceptance, curiosity, resilience, and self-confidence.

Samantha Oty, program coordinator at the Center, said the show provides a "wonderful opportunity for local families to enjoy a fun afternoon or evening together while reinforcing positive messages that kids can carry with them long after the show ends."
Showtimes are at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 31, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1. General admission tickets are $15 for children and $20 for adults. The June Bug Center is located at 251 Parkway Lane S. Learn more here.
