Floyd County's Kid Fishing Day is this Saturday, May 9. Participants should bring their poles and be ready to reel 'em in.

Fishing Day is organized by the Floyd County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) and designed for children age 13 and younger. There is no cost to participate. Registration will be completed on-site starting at 9 a.m.

Fishing starts at 10 a.m. and wraps up at 1 p.m. at 115 Lees Luck Lane on Thunderstruck. Traditionally, there has been a lunch and awards ceremony after 1 p.m.
