The Perfect Gift Shop (TPGS) is hosting a month-long yard sale to benefit its seasonal shop, which is designed to help spread cheer during winter holidays and other celebrations.
Opening for the first time in 2017, TPGS welcomes Floyd County children to come shop for all occasions, including birthdays, while it's open in December. Parents/guardians stay in a waiting area while children pick out their items, pay with gift certificates, and have their choices wrapped by helper “elves.”

Officials typically host a spring yard sale each year to raise extra funds for gifts, and this year’s “Mega Yard Sale” is open to the public on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until April 25 in the old Finders Keepers building at 219 E. Main St. Items include glassware, electronics, clothes, Christmas decor, tools, shoes, sewing accessories, bedding, furniture, and more.
All sales benefit TPGS and its mission to spread cheer to Floyd County children who might not otherwise be able to experience the gift of giving.
Open hours for the Mega Yard Sale are from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Fridays; and from 10 a.m. until about 2 p.m. on Saturdays. Donations are still being accepted until April 20.
