Earlier this month, Floyd County's Morgan Wade spent some time at Red Rooster, handing out cups of the local coffee roaster's new Reckless blend, a collab that speaks to the love she has for her hometown.
"We're super pumped to be able to team up with Red Rooster do this blend," Wade said at the Aug. 15 pop up. "We've been wanting to do this. Hayden (Plolseno-Hensley) and I've been talking about this for, like, two years now."
Wade said her approach to the coffee collab was similar to that of the merch she sells. "Why would I go pick something and sell it that I'm not gonna wear? Why would I want to sell something that I wouldn't drink? I chose the blends that I liked the most. I was like, "This is what I'm gonna have." And, everyone was very happy with it," she explained.
