Floyd Small Town Summer (STS) announced its 2026 event series line up this week. The two planned movie nights include screenings of "Zootopia 2" and "How to Train Your Dragon."

Opening night on Thursday, June 4, will feature music from Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast (performing as an acoustic duo), followed by Hoppie Vaughan and The Ministers of Soul. Disney's "Zootopia 2" will be shown after the music.

The June 18 concert will bring a Cajun Dance Party to town as The Revelers take the stage. The opener for this evening will be the Kelley Breiding Band.

Small Town Summer will welcome Denim and Plaid, and Handmade Music School students to the stage on July 2 to warm up the crowd for headliners Rhonda Vincent and The Rage. On July 16, enjoy a Salsa Dance Party to the Robert Jospe Quartet and JStop Latin Soul. "How to Train Your Dragon" will be shown after the music on July 16. Then, on July 30, get down with the Downriver Collective and The Willie Williams Band.

The Deer Run Drifters will open the evening on Aug. 13 followed by American Aquarium. STS 2026 will wrap up on Aug. 27 with SWVA Honky Tonk All-Stars featuring Redd Volkaert, Rachael Hester, Silas Hamilton, and more. Openers for the final evening will be Jesse Smathers and Nick Goad.

All STS events are free to attend at Warren G. Lineberry Park. The park opens at 6 p.m. on the day of shows. Community members are encouraged to bring their own camping chairs or blankets to sit on to enjoy the festivities. There will also be a bustling Kid Zone each night of the series with face painting, community art projects, concessions, other age-appropriate activities, and more.
