Chamber invites the community to inaugural Shamrock Shenanigans celebration
“This event is a fun way for our community to come together, support local businesses, and celebrate the spirit of Floyd County,” said the Floyd County Chamber of Commerce. “We invite everyone to join us for an evening of great food, music, and shamrock shenanigans.”

Representatives will also host community meetings to share information about the importance of dark skies and the role local communities can play in protecting them. One is set to take place at the Hotel Floyd Conference Room (300 Rick Lewis Way) from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17.
Emergency organizations receive funds from 2025 Chili Cookoff
The cookoff, held last fall at Citizens’ Floyd campus in partnership with the its Community Concert, brought the community together for an evening of friendly competition, live music, and support for local first responders.

Onyx is a very sweet boy, but is timid and getting used to life at the shelter. Volunteers at FCHS are sure he will be a wonderful pet.

Local author to discuss the convent and beyond at The Book House
Taylor is still adventuring, still learning, taking classes, leading a dream group, and is open to trust whatever comes next. She will be featured at an Author’s Talk and book signing at The Book House on north Locust Street on Sunday, March 15, at 2 p.m.
