Floyd Town Council recently started discussing potential improvements that could be made to the public parking lot directly across from Warren G. Lineberry Community Park on South Locust Street in town.

The day is packed with vendors, food trucks, activities for both kids and adults, worship, God's word and of course, music. The lineup for 2026 featured Christian artists Mike Cunningham, Chris McQuistion, and Rhett Walker as the headlining performer.
Town budget for FY26-27 exceeds $1 million
“We expect the Council to be careful and spend our money wisely.” Whitaker said a few concerning areas of the budget were Tourism and Revenue, real estate taxes, trash pick up, the Public Service Authority, and donations.
