The History of One of Floyd's Century Farms
Only 10 farms in Floyd County are currently registered as “Century Farms,” but many others may be eligible. Farm families receiving the designation are awarded a certificate signed by the Governor and an outdoor display sign.
Beekeeping conference set for next month + Becoming a Bee City
For our local community here in Floyd, we are building collaborative partnerships with artists, beekeeping clubs, schools, nonprofits, businesses, farms, and local government, and we are working to establish a public bee garden.

Floyd County Humane Society foster dog Dickie was found as a skinny stray in need of help. He has been gaining weight and confidence while at the shelter.

Jason Phillips is a local old-time fiddler player with a driving style style that gets people up dancing. He will be accompanied by friends on guitar, banjo, and bass.

For 44 years, Tri-Area Community Health has provided primary care services to Southwest Virginia. In addition to medical care, Tri-Area offered behavioral health care, pharmacy services, and other services (such as transportation and case management).
