Pets of the Week This pair, Loki (dad) and Nova (mom), just celebrated the birth of seven beautiful puppies, which have all been adopted – now they are looking for their forever home.
Leading Lights Class of 2026 includes volunteers from Plenty!, Young Life, The Perfect Gift Shop In Leading Lights's 18-year history, 807 individuals have been nominated for awards, and 154 awards have been presented to distinguished volunteers. Notes on Nature: Native Pollinators There are many locally well-known pollinators that have reemerged and clocked in for the season. Pollinators play a critical role in the world's food system, aiding in the production of about 75% of the world's flowering plants and about 35% of food crops via the transfer of pollen and nectar.
Legacy Continued: Reflecting on the Success of the Korn Kutters' CD Release This past fall, nine students, including me, from the Handmade Music School collaborated with the Field Recorders’ Collective and the Old Church Gallery, and were supported by the Virginia Humanities to create a CD of the 1970 and 1980s Floyd band, Korn Kutters.
