FCPR announces winners of 2025 Lights Competition
There was only one round of voting for both categories due to the number of entries. The community was invited to vote for the winners on Facebook from Dec. 19-24.
Floyd County Parks and Recreation (FCPR) shared extra holiday cheer through its 2025 Christmas Lights Competition and announced the winners on Christmas morning. Four businesses and four local residences joined in the fun this year.

There was only one round of voting for both categories due to the number of entries. The community was invited to vote for the winners via liking photos on Facebook from Dec. 19-24.

Blue Ridge Diner, DJ's Drive In, Ed and Ethel's Fine Jewelry, and Skyline Nursing and Rehabilitation Center competed for the vote in the Business Category. Ed and Ethel's, located at 317 E. Main St., won the contest with about 270 votes, followed by DJ's, which received almost 200 votes.

The Home Category saw entries from Cory Agnew, Jamie and Ashley Huff, and Jennifer Lester, as well as Katie West and Jeffrey Gill. Cory Agnew claimed first place with about 150 votes for his shining decor, while Jamie and Ashley Huff's residence placed second with nearly 100 votes.
