Local talent wins big at Galax convention

Floyd County was well-represented at the 89th annual Galax Old Fiddlers’ Convention, which was held Aug. 4-9.
Jared Boyd came in first place in the Clawhammer Banjo competition, and Andrew Small placed fourth in the Old Time Fiddle category.
