Red Rooster helps Morgan Wade celebrate five years of 'Reckless' success
“Because we both grew up in this town, we have a connection and she’s also a big-time coffee drinker,” Red Rooster's Haden Polseno-Hensley said. “The project was really exciting and fun to do.”
Red Rooster Coffee Roaster teamed up with Morgan Wade to create something special to celebrate the anniversary of her first album, "Reckless," with what they do best: coffee.
The idea to collaborate started roughly three years ago, according to Red Rooster Co-Owner Haden Polseno-Hensley. Wade was playing at the Floyd County Country Store, a hometown show as Wade is originally from Floyd County, and Red Rooster decided to reach out in a very unique way.
“We just wanted to say hello and tell her we were fans and congratulate her success,” he said. “So we made three sets of coffee boxes; we used some of the designs that she used on her merch, like tattoo designs and created boxes and gave them to the folks at the Country Store.”
We offer locally sourced, insect and rot resistant hemlock, and lots of other species for just about any project.
We also can provide firewood, kindling, mulch, sawdust, and shavings.
Inside we produce paneling and flooring in various, often rustic local woods.

Once these boxes showed up in Wade’s dressing room, she tagged the coffee shop on social media with a picture of the boxes. After that, the relationship between Red Rooster and Wade blossomed.
“As things go, people get busy and time goes on,” Polseno-Hensley said. “I got a call about six months ago from her new management that said that this was a top priority for Morgan.”
So the collaboration finally took shape.
“Because we both grew up in this town, we have a connection and she’s also a big-time coffee drinker,” Polseno-Hensley said. “The project was really exciting and fun to do.”
Wade noted to Red Rooster that she wanted something similar to the coffee she drank in college while working at a gym. According to Polseno-Hensley, that coffee shop next to her gym sold Red Rooster coffee.

Reckless Coffee is closest to Red Rooster’s Farmhouse blend. The coffee was limited-edition and only 300 8 oz. bags were produced, making it a very special product and collaboration. Red Rooster’s Director of Marketing Jolie Greatorex designed the Reckless Coffee bag, and Wade’s design team took what Jolie designed and created the box for the coffee.
Reckless Coffee was available on pre-order beginning in July 2026 for delivery in late-August in separate bundles featuring Reckless Coffee, a Reckless mug and t-shirt, and some had a vinyl of her album.
“I’m super excited about it. I think for people in Floyd to imagine that even though Morgan has gone on to do great things, and become famous it's still a great thing to support her as a local person,” Polseno-Hensley said. “She is a really special person, super talented songwriter, and I want her to have a long and prosperous career, and I want to support her in that way. I hope other people feel the same way about her and about us.”
As of publication date of this article, Reckless Coffee is still available for order on Morgan Wade's website.
